Blog #21 Book Discussion Prep: Week #3

Describe the relationship between Titus and Violet.

In the book "Feed" by M.T. Anderson, we've been reading a certain amount of chapters/pages a week. This week's pages seem to revolve mainly around Titus and Violet. They first met when they were on the moon, and they both got hacked and spent time in the same hospital, after that they started going out and they have continued dating. They seem like the perfect example of opposites attract. I say this because they are completely opposite of each other. Titus was born into a rich family, while Violet's mom left her and her father is a professor that doesn't pay well. Another big difference is that Titus loves the feed, can live without, but Violet was developing ways to avoid the feed, and she is a strong supporter of nature. The relationship seems great, only when they are alone, when with Titus' friends and family, Violet's manner of speaking and her ideas clash with them creating tension in the relationship. This then makes TItus angry at Violet because she feels uncomfortable. Which is bound to cause problems within the relationship.

Do you think Violet's slowly dying problem and wanting to live match to something in reality?
It reminds me of people who find out they have cancer and want to do all they want to do before they die.
Do you think Titus and Violet's relationship will last?
I hope it does but TItus might have to choose between her and his friends.
What are these meat farms?
To me they seem like GMOs gone wild, are meat vegetables now?
